Project Coordinator Overview
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fall protection projects from initiation through completion. This position works closely with Project Managers, technicians, engineers, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts in a technical, safety-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination & Administration
• Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of fall protection projects
• Coordinate project documentation including work orders, permits, drawings, and certifications
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones
• Maintain accurate project files and records in internal systems
Communication & Liaison
• Act as a point of contact between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Schedule site visits, installations, inspections, and service work
• Assist with client communications regarding project status, scheduling, and documentation
Health & Safety Compliance
• Support adherence to applicable fall protection standards and regulations (e.g., CSA, OSHA, provincial regulations)
• Ensure required safety documentation is completed and filed
• Assist with coordination of site-specific safety requirements and access protocols
Procurement & Logistics
• Assist with ordering materials and tracking deliveries
• Coordinate equipment availability and technician scheduling
• Monitor inventory usage related to active projects
Financial & Reporting Support
• Assist with project costing, change orders, and invoicing documentation
• Track labor hours and expenses related to projects
• Prepare basic project status reports for internal review
Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma or degree in project management, construction management, engineering technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in a project coordination or administrative role, preferably in construction, industrial services, or safety-related industries
• Familiarity with fall protection systems, construction environments, or safety compliance is an asset
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Google workspace, Microsoft Office, and experience with project management, Quickbooks, and ClickUp is an asset
